Quite a fascinating list you have here. It is interesting for me, a teacher from Pennsylvania in the United States to learn about Australia this way. I did not know that the kangaroo was on your 50 cent coin- fascinating. From the images, I would really love to be able to visit Ayers Rock. It reminds me of the rock formations found in the southwestern part of the United States that I have seen in Bryce and Zion National Parks.

This was a really great list! I like how you listed the items and then explained them along with a picture. I didn’t know many of these things so the explanation and pictures really helped me understand them better.

Hey Linda,
When I was writing this post I was hoping no one in the world actually had any of the 10 things so I’m glad with what I’ve completed.
Do you have anything really well known in your country?

I’d never seen a Sturt’s Desert Pea before. How I wish they grew here in New York… they look incredible. It reminds me of one of my favorite flowers, the Black-eyed Susan:

It doesn’t look as interesting as the desert pea, but Black-eyed Susans catch my eye whenever I go past them.

A very Australian list! My brother-in-law is an Aussie, he bought a Holden over here in the UK, but it fell apart! Are there any other all Australian car companies?

Your list is truly Australian, I think! I think the Sydney Opera House is beautiful!

I think what makes the United States unique is that we have 50 different states that are unique in their own way but a common thread that ties them altogether. I live in South Carolina and we are known for Myrtle Beach which is a popular vacation spot for people all around the United States and for the peaches that we grow. Keep up the good work with your blogging!

Pavlo,
I think I would like to pass your question onto to my students. I wonder if they could find 10 well known things about the US. What do you think?

Hey Matthew,
That is indeed a very nice flower. I think that flower’s centre is a lot bigger from the picture I saw.
